The Faculty of Pharmacy held master’s thesis discussion of pharmacist Omar Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, entitled: “Biological evaluation of novel Xanthine-Chalcone hybrids." This came under the auspices of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies & Scientific Research Prof. Mustafa Ahmed Fouad, and Head of the Department of Biochemistry Prof. Mustafa Fathy Ramadan.

The discussion committee consisted of:

-  Prof. Hesham Ismail Mohamed, Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Minia University (examiner)

-  Prof. Mustafa Fathy Ramadan, Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Minia University (internal examiner)

-  Prof. Mayada Hassan Nazmy, Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Minia University (supervisor)

-  Dr. Al-Shaimaa Faisal Fadel, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Minia University.

During the discussion, the committee commended the quality of the thesis, the excellence of its scientific content, and the research efforts made.
