Dr. Essam El-Din Sadek Farhat, President of Minia University, inaugurated the Liquid Nitrogen Production Unit at the Central Laboratory, in the Biological and Geological Sciences Building at the Faculty of Science. This came in the presence of Vice President for Community Service & Environmental Development Dr. Ayman Hassanein, Vice President for Education &Student Affairs Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, Vice President for Graduate Studies & Research and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Laboratory Dr. Hossam El-Din Shawky, Executive Director of the Central Laboratory Dr. Hamdi Farghal Mohamed, a group of Deans of Faculties, the Secretary-General of the University, and Operations Responsible.
The university president explained that the unit is the only one of its kind operating at the governorate and regional level, and through it the university seeks to fully meet its needs for liquid nitrogen, which contributes to saving time and effort and reducing the burdens of moving to obtain these raw materials from outside the governorate, stressing that the university places at the forefront of its priorities the provision of modern capabilities that contribute to raising the quality of scientific research and linking it to the needs of society and the requirements of sustainable development.
