Minia University launched a medical convoy to Banei-Khaled Village, center of Maghagha, within the framework of the university's keenness to perform its leading role in the presidential initiative "Decent Life" that targets the most underprivileged villages and provides a decent life with sustainable development for the group most in need in the governorates of Egypt.
The event, under the auspices of Minia University President Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, was organized by the sector of community service and environmental development.
The medical staff examined around 720 cases, including Prof. Dr. Amal Kamal, Vice Dean for Community Services and Environmental Development, and an elite of physicians in various medical majors including Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Internal medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiovascular diseases, Orthopedic, and Neuropsychiatry. During the visit, patients received free medications based on their diagnoses.
On the other hand, the convoy also held several awareness symposiums conducted by faculty of Nursing on "First Aid", as well as faculty of Education on "How to Deal with Family Problems".
